about

This was a slow song when I first wrote it but I felt that I needed something more up-tempo for the album, so I played around with it until I was happy, The guitar part is played using an ebo. The song went on to become the winner in the Festival4Stars National Song Writing competition 2007.

lyrics

You and I

Listen to the raindrops and the howling of the wind
Hear the thunder crashing up against your window pain
The lightning flashes brightly like a fire in the sky
I’m glad that we’re together here alone just you and I

Hold me close, hold me tight, Hold me close all through the night
Hold me darling, never let me go,
And Love me now, love me right
Love me baby all through the night
Hold me darling , never let me go, oh no never let me go

Take my hand and I will lead you,
Through the darkness of the night
Hold me close and let me guide you,
Through the dark into the light

The storm will die out slowly, And the wind will clear the sky
I’m glad that were together here alone, you and I
I’m glad that we’re together here alone, Together here alone, you and I
You and I, you and I, Just you…. You and I
